This five-day instructor-led SharePoint Server 2007-2010 Boot Camp includes lessons from:
• Course 5060: Implementing Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
• Course 5061: Implementing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
• Course 2552: Administering Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services and;
• A preview of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
Students undertaking this Bootcamp will be provided the necessary knowledge and skills how to perform a clean installation of WSS 3.0, select the most appropriate method for upgrading WSS from 2.0 to 3.0 and how to manage WSS after it is configured.
Participants will also learn the knowledge and skills required to implement Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and how to deploy and manage a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services infrastructure.
Finally students will be given an introduction to Windows SharePoint Server 2010 and the new administration tools and features and how these features work.

The first step in deploying a Windows SharePoint Services infrastructure is to install the components. This module describes the available deployment options ranging from a single server deployment to a large server farm deployment. It also describes the requisite hardware and software for installation, the supporting services required, and how to extend the virtual server and configure the IIS application pool and SQL databases.
