This five-day instructor-led course will teach students how to design and implement scalable internetworks. The new Enterprise Composite Model facilitates designing, planning, implementing, operating and troubleshooting (PDIOT) networks by concentration on a certain module and on relations between the modules.
Taking into account most network solutions today (e.g. voice, video, storage networking, content networking) are typically overlay solutions spanning several modules, the Enterprise Composite Model is the main focus of this course.
After completing this course participants can register to sit the (DESGN) 640-863 exam.
After completing this course, students will be able to:
• Design a network addressing plan • Select optimal routing protocols for the network • Recognise network management and security criteria for the network • Be confident in designing the Enterprise network in a hierarchical modular fashion • Assess the design implications of voice transport across the network and plan the design implementation • Explain the network design and its impact to the customer
Module 7: • Introduction to Network Management Design Concepts
Module 8: • Introduction to Security Design Concepts
Module 9: • Introduction to Voice Design Concepts
The audience for this course are individuals interested in gaining their CCDA and CCDP certification.
Students wishing to attend this course must have finished ICND1 or have an equivalent level of working knowledge or experience, together with practical experience with deploying and operating networks based on Cisco network devices and Cisco IOS. Students with CCNP or equivalent knowledge and experience have the advantage of participating actively.
