This five-day instructor-led course includes lessons from Microsoft Windows Server 2008 courses 6416 and 6417. Students undertaking this five-day instructor-led Windows Server 2008 Bootcamp will be provided the necessary knowledge and skills to use key functionality and benefits of a Server 2008 installation, including adding and configuring roles. Students will install and configure a Server 2008 Core server, as well as explore new networking technologies incorporated in Server 2008, in particular Network Access Protection.
After completing this course, students will be able to:
• Install and configure the Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) server role and administer it with Server Manager • Explore planning for deploying an Active Directory Domain Services infrastructure • Explore the implementation of Read Only Domain Controllers (RODCs) • Students will also be capable of describing and demonstrating IIS 7.0 features for troubleshooting • In addition, students will be skilled in describing and demonstrating how to configure and manage Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, including creating and configuring sites and managing sites and servers • Finally students will investigate the enhancements to Terminal Services.

This course is intended for experienced System Administrators of Windows 2003 wishing to upgrade current Server 2003 certifications to Windows Server 2008 and experienced early technology adopters.
