This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the preparation to install configure and maintain an IP telephony solution. This course focuses primarily on CallManager, the call routing and signaling component for the IP telephony solution.
This course also includes lab practice where students will install and configure CallManager; configure gateways, gatekeepers and switches; and build route plans to place intra- and intercluster IP phone calls. The student will also be able to configure telephony class of service (CoS), numerous user telephone features and media resources.
After completing this course participants can register to sit the (CIPT1) 642-446 exam.

This course is intended for CCVP and CCIE candidates, IP Telephone Support and IP Telephony Support Operations Specialist candidates.
Before attending this course, students must have:
• A basic knowledge of a computer and experience installing software
• A basic understanding of network connectivity and Windows Server experience
• Understand how network devices get subnet and IP addressing information
• Understand VLAN routing, configuration and TCP networking
• Understand a basic route plan construction
• Understand IOS and Catalyst OS command lines
• Understand IOS configuration, TAPI and JTAPI
• Participants must also have their Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Completed Cisco course QOS which is a prerequisite
• Completed Cisco course CVOICE which is also prerequisite
